Here is something that not a lot of people know about.

Please take the time to review these as its important for everyone to know and understand. :)

The 'Age of Consent' is the age at which a person can legally agree to engage in sexual activity. A person under the stated age cannot agree to having sexual contact and both partners must be over the set age although some exceptions do apply (for instance, some countries/states allow one person to be below the age of consent if the older person is only a few years older).

If you are having sexual contact with a person in a position of authority (e.g. teacher, priest etc.), the age of consent is often higher - usually 18 with no close-age exceptions.

If you travel to a different country/state and have sex, you have to abide by the laws of the country you visit AND the laws of your home address. This is to avoid 'Child sex tourism".

Whilst every effort has gone in to verifying the information below, there may be some errors. Also, countries/states may update their laws from time to time. If you notice any wrong information, please contact a Moderator or Administrator so that we can change it.

    USA

It is worth noting that it is ILLEGAL to cross state lines in order to have sex if you are under the age of consent at home. The age of consent that applies to you is that of your home address, not where the activity took place.
